February 4-6. WSU Festival of Contemporary Art Music. Celebrating music of composer Robert Carl; world premiere of James Schoepflin's Kleine Farben for wind quintet.

March 5, 8pm: Faculty Artist Series Recital- "Solstice Wind Quintet." A concert of masterworks for wind quintet including Poulenc's Sextour for wind quintet and piano. Dr. Gerald Berthiaume is featured on piano, Kimbrough Concert Hall, WSU.

March 30, 8pm. WSU Percussion Ensemble concert featuring the premiere of David Jarvis's Na Kohola, for oboe and percussion ensemble, Kimbrough Concert Hall, WSU.

A presentation of research completed in spring 2008 culminating in the creation of four newly commissioned works from Southeast Asia, a June concert tour of that region, and research on the blending of traditional Eastern and Western performing elements.
